Hylaform is subject to product drop out, which can be unpredictable, and perseverance is the key to good results.

There may be significant redness and swelling following Hylaform treatment, and it is advisable to have the first treatment done at a time when one has no special forthcoming events in the immediate future.

After the procedure it is important to avoid putting anything other than water on the skin for a short time, but use of an antiseptic cream or wipe is acceptable. Should there be any lumpy areas after the treatment, these will improve with massage. There is a small risk of grey or red discolouration, which fades in time, or can be overlaid with collagen to conceal it. This is usually related to the fragility of capillaries in the individual.

Hylaform viscoelastic gel is a soft tissue augmentation treatment suitable for certain types of lines, wrinkles or scars, which has a negligible risk of allergy or rejection, but causes transient redness and swelling. Used correctly, results can be excellent and lasting.
