Hylaform is subject to product drop out, which can be unpredictable, and perseverance is the key to good results. There may be significant redness and swelling following Hylaform treatment, and it is advisable to have the first treatment done at a time when one has no special forthcoming events in the immediate future. After
the procedure it is important to avoid putting anything other than
water
on the skin for a short time, but use of an antiseptic cream or
wipe is
acceptable. Should there be any lumpy areas after the treatment,
these
will improve with massage. There is a small risk of grey
or red discolouration,
which fades in time, or can be overlaid with collagen
to conceal it. This
is usually related to the fragility of capillaries
in the individual.
